Dragon Age: Origins meme (#17-20)

kinlochhold:

Yay! The last of the DA Revisited meme. (My responses to #s 1 through 45 though 89-13, and 14-16.) And thanks again to minorearth for getting things started!

17) Do you have any particular routines that you stick to when you play? (Doing the quests in a specific order? Always buying/selling your gear at a certain merchant? Collecting every elfroot you see? Completing every single one of the side quests before the Landsmeet? Anything like that?)

I collect everything. No companion is left unrecruited, no container is left unlooted, no pocket goes unpicked, no reagent is left in the wild. I do every side quest that makes roleplay sense — for example, my Chantry Cousland doesn’t do the Mages’s Collective quests, and while my goody-good Surana didn’t do the Denerim rogue or Crime Wave quests, my sneaky witch thief Amell did.

I usually try to do quests in a manner that seems logical for travel purposes, so quite often my sequence is Lothering>Redcliffe pt1>Broken Circle>Redcliffe p2>Honnleith>RTO>Werewolves>Soldier’s Peak>Sacred Ashes>Orzammar>Denerim/Landsmeet. And I stop at intermediate points on the map when traveling - it’s never Denerim>Orzammar when tying up all the side quest loose ends before the Landsmeet, it’s Denerim>Lake Calenhad Docks>Orzammar. *can’t believe she admitted that publicly* But I can also vary that order, depending on the Warden’s origin, so a Circle Mage might go to Kinloch Hold after Lothering, Mahariel, to the Brecilian Forest, or Tabris, to Denerim.

I try to sell as much loot as possible to Old Tegrin, since his buy price seems to be a bit higher than other merchants.

18) What moment of the game is most personally satisfying to you - is there something cathartic, something that makes you cheer, something that just feels right no matter what?

The Gauntlet encounter with someone from the Warden’s past never fails to leave me crying big sobby tears. Exacting Howe’s punishment is always satisfying, no matter the Warden’s origin.

19) What brings you back to play DA:O again? What about this particular game makes it fun for you to play multiple times? What do you get out of each subsequent play?

Every one of my Wardens is a different person, so every game is different — different path choices, different plot choices. I always glean something new, whether it is a companion conversation I’ve never had, or a party banter I’ve never heard, or the ramification of a choice I hadn’t made before.

20) If you were trying to convince someone else to play DA:O for the first time, what are the top three points you’d try to sell them on?

The quality of the writing, the terrific voice acting, and saving the world is a lot of  fun.

14) What is your favorite team of companions to take along with you? Do you keep the same three people all the time, or do you prefer different people for different quests?

One thing I love about DA:O is how the quests have different undertones based on who you take along. I prefer rotating companions in and out so I can hear all of the party banter. I have a soft spot for Alistair, Zevran, and Wynne as a team but, in truth, I have no one favorite. Which characters I want on which quests changes based on who my warden is and how that warden feels about the world around him/her and his/her party members.

15) If you could create a team of three non-companion characters to take with you on a quest, who would you choose? (Anyone in the game is fair game!)

If I am balancing for the characters’ potential skills plus opportunities for good banter (and especially if I’m playing a female mage warden), my dream team would be Cullen, Witherfang/Lady of the Forest, and Shianni, assuming Shianni is a rogue.

16) What is your favorite side quest? (Something not related to any of the main quests.)

Return to Ostagar. This quest gives closure for Cailan’s death, it provides information that deepen Loghain’s motivations, and it sheds further light on Anora’s situation. After doing this quest for the first time, my canon warden felt a much greater sense of resolve about bringing Loghain to justice. Likewise, I felt sympathy for Anora, and my warden felt far more prepared to meet her and discuss Ferelden’s future with her.

17) Do you have any particular routines that you stick to when you play? (Doing the quests in a specific order? Always buying/selling your gear at a certain merchant? Collecting every elfroot you see? Completing every single one of the side quests before the Landsmeet? Anything like that?)

Elfroot, elfroot, elfroot. Can never have enough of it. I religiously collect crafting resources.

I haven’t (yet) established any set patterns for completing the main quests. Not sure if I ever will.

9) Name three of your favorite male non-companion characters.

The Good — Teagan.  He is quick to question Loghain’s withdrawal from Ostagar, he plays an instrumental role in the Bannorn’s fight against Loghain, and he never gives off yucky power hungry vibes. He’s a leader I want to walk beside (right into his bed). Extra bonus in DA2: Teagan proves to be a trustworthy handler for King Alistair or Drunk Alistair.

The Bad — Loghain.  A complex, well-motivated villain. A revered national hero whose prior hatred for all things Orlesian sends him tilting at windmills when the Blight begins. My canon warden did not feel a single pang of guilt when Alistair beheaded that man, and I loved how well written Loghain is.

The Confuddled — Cullen.  He starts off quite the opposite of a Chantry soldier selected for religious fervor and absolute loyalty. He’s terribly conflicted and wonderfully human in his flawed, non-heroic manner.  Extra bonus: watching Cullen slowly come to terms in DA2 with the problems of being “loyally lawful” while remembering how to be virtuous and good.  He’s my DA fave.

10) Name three of your favorite female non-companion characters.

Anora, my Queen.  She grew up learning he politics of rulership, she is trying to do what she believes is best for Ferelden, and she is not cowed by our Warden’s status. Best of all, she is an incredible well written, well motivated character. My canon warden and I quickly intuited that Anora (like Alistair) is not someone my warden can control. I love her for this.

Dagna, my Scholar.  She’s soooooooooooo full of infectious enthusiasm about studying the properties of magic. Geeky nerd girl power for the win! I also like how Dagna reminds us of what can work in Circles of Magi if the circles focus primarily on being places of scholarship.

Flemeth, my O_O.  The mythology and mystery surrounding Flemeth makes me want to learn more about her role and motivations in the larger narrative, yet I always want a part of her to remain mysterious because I don’t think we should ever believe that we fully understand her.

11) What is your favorite class (warrior, rogue, mage) to play?

Mage is my favorite, but rogue comes in as a close second.

12) Is there a class you haven’t played? Why not?

I haven’t felt compelled to play a warrior. If my warden isn’t a mage, playing a rogue seems like the obvious choice purely for the lock picking skills.

13) What is your favorite class specialization? (Assassin? Champion? Spirit Healer? Et cetera …)

Arcane Warrior + Sprit Healer = bashing and healing. What more could I want? Also, I enjoy having the ability to put my mage wardens in armor purely because of the message it sends given how mages are treated in Ferelden.

More of the DA Revisited meme! (My responses to #s 1 through 45 though 8, and 9-13.)

14) What is your favorite team of companions to take along with you? Do you keep the same three people all the time, or do you prefer different people for different quests?

Aside from parts of the Denerim/Landsmeet arc, Alistair is in my party for the entire game. (I sometimes leave him with Eamon, for roleplay reasons.) My inclination is to fall into a rut of Alistair/Morrigan/Leliana, with summoned Extra Dog when it makes sense from a roleplay perspective (i.e. Brecillian Forest), so I consciously try to use different companions and odd configurations, like 3 Mages/Alistair or 3 Rogues/Alistair, and I found I quite liked Warrior!Warden/Alistair/Oghren/Morrigan as a Deep Roads party. Or I run a crippled party of just one or two companions. (And one day I intend to try a complete game with just the original companions - Alistair/Morrigan/Dog - and not recruiting any of the others.)

15) If you could create a team of three non-companion characters to take with you on a quest, who would you choose? (Anyone in the game is fair game!)

Teagan. Flemeth. Isabela. If only for the banter. (Oh, who am I kidding? Entirely for the banter.)

16) What is your favorite side quest? (Something not related to any of the main quests.)

It’s not part of the base game, but my favorite side quest is Return to Ostagar, with a party of either Warden and Alistair, alone, or Warden, Alistair and Dog. The duo/trio has a charged poignancy I’ve never felt when playing the quest with a full party.

Previous responses:  Questions 1 through 3, and Question 4

5) Who is your favorite love interest?

Alistair. I deeply enjoy how his romance storyline is woven into the main plot and the different end-game outcomes for Alistair. In my experience, a romance with Alistair ends up shaping how my female Warden will approach Landsmeet and the Archdemon, which is story gold. :D

A few months ago I drafted an essay on the Alistair romance in which I talked about Alistair as my favorite love interest in DA:O purely because he’s an absolutely terrible love interest at the point in time our female wardens meet him. At some point I’ll expand that essay and post it publicly (it only exists under friend lock on my DW account atm). There is so much psychological depth and realism written into his character, but all of that belongs in a much longer post. ;)

6) Is there a love interest you haven’t yet played? Why not?

I haven’t had the chance to romance Morrigan yet and I’m curious to see if the Morrigan romance shapes the male Warden’s experience with the main plot in any way other than the OGB twist at the end.

My reason for not yet playing the Morrigan LI is multi-fold: I tend to prefer playing female PCs when possible.

7) Who is your favorite non-LI companion?

Surprisingly, I found Sten very interesting because his philosophy of life is so radically different from everyone else (and something I would not want for myself). When his friendship level is low, he is a bit of an enigma, but once he starts opening up and respecting the warden, I found his dialogue interesting. The little details about him (the kinds of gift he likes, the kitten, cookies) add little touches that make his character is very well rounded.

8) Out of the main four quests (Redcliffe, Orzammar, Circle of Magi, Dalish elves), which one is your favorite?

No favorite. They all have their pluses and minus.

I loved the old school fantasy feel of the Quest for the Urn the most. Regarding the main Redcliffe quest, it hooks into Alistair’s story and the mage origin (making it a favorite when playing a mage in a romance with Alistair). I actually like the Circle of Magi quest, but only when playing a mage, again for the personal hooks. Both the Dalish and the Orzammar quest are well written, and I look forward to my Dwarf warden eventually getting to Orzammar because I suspect I will enjoy it far more.

Dragon Age: Origins meme

thessalian:

I couldn’t resist…

1) How many times have you played DA:O? (“A whole fucking lot” is a valid answer here, if counting becomes difficult.)

Full playthroughs … “a whole fucking lot” is probably my only real answer. Though I think it comes up around 23? When you add in abandoned playthroughs, it shoots up through the roof.

2) What is your favorite Origin to play?

Even tie between Mahariel and Surana.

3) Is there an Origin you haven’t yet played? Why not?

I’ve played all the Origins, but the ones I’ve never finished are Aeducan and Tabris. Not sure why.

4) Who is your “canon” Warden? Or your favorite of all the ones you’ve played?

Erm … I have a few ‘canon’ Wardens, up to and including Queen Cousland-Theirin. But my favourite is the one I play on Formspring: Lyna Mahariel, my sweet and slightly undersocialised (at least by shemlen and city-elf standards) Dalish elf. Her attempts to cling to her sense of self and general optimism as the ground repeatedly drops out from under her, metaphorically speaking, is always an interesting one for me.

5) Who is your favorite love interest?

I … have only ever really romanced Alistair. I keep meaning to romance Zevran, I DO! It’s just … turning Alistair down is like kicking a puppy.

6) Is there a love interest you haven’t yet played? Why not?

Well, Alistair’s the only one I’ve ever completed, but the only one that’s never even started, whether by ninjamance or other, is Morrigan. That would be because I have never played a male character.

7) Who is your favorite non-LI companion?

You mean one who never is and could never be a LI? Ffffffff okay, it’s got to be Wynne. I never really saw her as preachy; just a woman who is very used to teaching the young. Her backstory is interesting, and I love how she maintains a sense of humour.

8) Out of the main four quests (Redcliffe, Orzammar, Circle of Magi, Dalish elves), which one is your favorite?

I … actually really like Orzamarr. While the Deep Roads is … challenging (and I hate the trap-maze on the way to the Anvil of the Void), I like the look at the politics. Besides, you pick up a new companion whose only reason to go along with you is apparently, “You’re gonna let me KILL THINGS! WOO!” and I respect that.

9) Name three of your favorite male non-companion characters.

Sgt Kylon. Bodhann. And that shifty little bugger who gives you the Rogue quests.

10) Name three of your favorite female non-companion characters.

Shianni. Dagna. Ser Cauthrien.

11) What is your favorite class (warrior, rogue, mage) to play?

It’s a toss-up between Mage and dual-wield Rogue. In the balance, though, probably Mage - I’ve got the tactics down and Mana Clash is AWESOME.

12) Is there a class you haven’t played? Why not?

Warrior. It just strikes me as phenomenally dull. I did TRY, but it didn’t take.

13) What is your favorite class specialization? (Assassin? Champion? Spirit Healer? Et cetera …)

I really don’t pay much attention to the specialities in Origins - it’s a bit different in DA2, where I LOVE Assassin so much. I guess it’d be Duelist, if I had to choose; it’s the only one I use regularly. Though Spirit Healer is a bonus for a mage who doesn’t want to take Wynne everywhere.

14) What is your favorite team of companions to take along with you? Do you keep the same three people all the time, or do you prefer different people for different quests?

Alistair as tank, always. If I’m playing a mage, it’s then Leliana as archer (and lockpicking) and Zevran as dual-wield damage dealer. If I’m playing a Dalish elf (where I always level archery), it’s Zevran and Wynne for mage once I’ve levelled her damage spells appropriately. When I’m dual-wield rogue, it’s Leliana and Wynne.

15) If you could create a team of three non-companion characters to take with you on a quest, who would you choose? (Anyone in the game is fair game!)

Isabela, Duncan and … Irving if I’m playing a rogue, Daveth if mage. (I won’t pick Flemeth ‘cos that’s just … noooooo.

16) What is your favorite side quest? (Something not related to any of the main quests.)

I’m fond of the end quest of the ‘Favours for R and K’ that you get in the Gnawed Noble. Finding out that you’re in the middle of a father-son turf war is really interesting … and I think it’s one of the few times in game where you can tell someone, “Look, sort this out yourself”.

17) Do you have any particular routines that you stick to when you play? (Doing the quests in a specific order? Always buying/selling your gear at a certain merchant? Collecting every elfroot you see? Completing every single one of the side quests before the Landsmeet? Anything like that?)

Generally, I do the mages first, then Redcliffe, then Orzamarr (so I have Oghren for more of the game, even if the lower level makes the Deep Roads a bit harder), then breeze through the Dalish quest like it’s not there and on to the Landsmeet!

Everything else more or less depends on who or what I’m playing.

18) What moment of the game is most personally satisfying to you - is there something cathartic, something that makes you cheer, something that just feels right no matter what?

Telling that slaver in the Alienage where to stick it. There are other moments, admittedly, but that one … damn, it just feels good.

19) What brings you back to play DA:O again? What about this particular game makes it fun for you to play multiple times? What do you get out of each subsequent play?

Honestly, I don’t know. Because I make a lot of the same choices, it’s more akin to why I reread books over and over again - the sheer love of the story - with the potential for a new outcome if I want one.

20) If you were trying to convince someone else to play DA:O for the first time, what are the top three points you’d try to sell them on?

Depends on who I was convincing - different people have different selling points. I’d probably start with the multiple origins giving a different approach to the story depending on which you choose, thus providing a way to engage for nearly any mindset. From there I’d go on to the story itself - the epic tale of war and the rise of an ancient evil, while still having time for smaller, more personal affairs … all bundled up together in a way that doesn’t jar too much. I’d go on from there to the characters, probably; the detail and personality of it all.

Or, with other people, I’d just say, “Massive war story, great graphics and the ability to shoot fireballs at bad guys.

Some Dragon Age Meme for you! :D

setheneran:

Taken from here.

1) How many times have you played DA:O? (“A whole fucking lot” is a valid answer here, if counting becomes difficult.)

Oookay.Do not-finished playthroughs count? If so, that’s “a whole fucking lot” xDDD. If not, I guess I’ve been played liiike… 7, 8 times. Counting replays.

2) What is your favorite Origin to play?

The Dalish one. It’s somehow depressing, yes, but I’ve become too attached to the Dalish culture because it was the first origin I’ve played. And even if the background story is angsty and gloomy (well, like the other five origins, anyway…), I love playing as one.

3) Is there an Origin you haven’t yet played? Why not?

I’ve played all 6 origins, but I’ve yet to complete Tabris and Brosca. They are all in Lothering, most of them. xD

4) Who is your “canon” Warden? Or your favorite of all the ones you’ve played?

My Mahariel character, Isilwen. Was my first playthrough anyway. Surana and Aeducan are favorites, too, but Isilwen has the first place in my heart, I’m afraid.

5) Who is your favorite love interest?

Alistair. Even if I couldn’t romance him again anymore x3

6) Is there a love interest you haven’t yet played? Why not?

I’ve played all four.

7) Who is your favorite non-LI companion?

I love Wynne. By far. There is also Sten, but I prefer Wynne over him.

8) Out of the main four quests (Redcliffe, Orzammar, Circle of Magi, Dalish elves), which one is your favorite?

The Nature of the Beast (the Dalish Elves one). It is the least hard main quest for me to do. Besides, I like the Brecilian forest. And as I said, I’m too attached to Dalish culture. xD

9) Name three of your favorite male non-companion characters.

Teagan, Denek Helmi, Jowan.

10) Name three of your favorite female non-companion characters.

Marethari, Shianni, Dagna.

11) What is your favorite class (warrior, rogue, mage) to play?

My favorite class, for specializations, is mage, but I play mostly with warriors for weapon versatility.

12) Is there a class you haven’t played? Why not?

I’ve played them all.

13) What is your favorite class specialization? (Assassin? Champion? Spirit Healer? Et cetera …)

Arcane Warrior. : D I wish they left that in DA2…

14) What is your favorite team of companions to take along with you? Do you keep the same three people all the time, or do you prefer different people for different quests?

Depends on the character’s personalities and actions. :P I like to bring one person of each class with me. I mostly bring Alistair or Shale as main tank (I prefer them to Sten or Oghren), Leliana because she handle Lockpicking skills better than Zevran, and Wynne as my healer and supporter.

15) If you could create a team of three non-companion characters to take with you on a quest, who would you choose? (Anyone in the game is fair game!)

Teagan as tank, Nadezda (or something like that) as rogue, and… Aneirin as healer. I don’t know. xD

16) What is your favorite side quest? (Something not related to any of the main quests.)

The Captured quest when you are trapped in Fort Drakon prison and you have to break through… or wait for your companions to rescue you. That’s my personal favorite of all times and that’s why I always let ser Cauthrien win in the Arl’s place.

17) Do you have any particular routines that you stick to when you play? (Doing the quests in a specific order? Always buying/selling your gear at a certain merchant? Collecting every elfroot you see? Completing every single one of the side quests before the Landsmeet? Anything like that?)

I tend to play first the Circle of Magi quest or the Redcliffe quest before any other main quest. Also, do as so much side quest in between as I can to gain XP. And selling my wares always to Bodhan. Just in case I want them back.

18) What moment of the game is most personally satisfying to you - is there something cathartic, something that makes you cheer, something that just feels right no matter what?

I… can’t choose one. I love playing it all. There are moments that I dislike playing, of course, but overall the game experience is very satisfying to me.

19) What brings you back to play DA:O again? What about this particular game makes it fun for you to play multiple times? What do you get out of each subsequent play?

I like to put myself in the skin of my characters, which is the reason I always come and play from time to time. Every time, as well, I learn something new, so every experience is satisfying and worth playing for me. I do not tire from it, and if I do, I just have to let some months pass before I want to play again.

20) If you were trying to convince someone else to play DA:O for the first time, what are the top three points you’d try to sell them on?

The versatility of the origins, the easy to comprehend plot, and a RPG ala Old School. :3

Dragon Age: Origins meme

lani-elisabeth:

1) How many times have you played DA:O? (“A whole fucking lot” is a valid answer here, if counting becomes difficult.)
I have played it countless times, I have finished it 10 times. Some characters that I make bore me and I end up deleting them, I may even delete them 3/4 of the way through the game if I don’t like their story. Don’t judge me; I’m weird ;)
2) What is your favorite Origin to play?
I love noble dwarves. Although I have never finished the game with one. The story is soo intriguing and funny. I love it, I just love it!
3) Is there an Origin you haven’t yet played? Why not?
I have played every Origin. I haven’t finished on every Origin though.

I like to make a character of each Origin in both male and female so you can see the differences of how you are treated, and I always plan on going back to them and finishing it but I never do.
4) Who is your “canon” Warden? Or your favorite of all the ones you’ve played?
I have two favourites. I could not pick the better of these two so I’ll just chuck them both in.

Elissa Cousland, she was a good character who married Alistair. But than let Amaranthine burn D: Worst decision EVER!

Tyler Cousland, he originally was bad but than met Leliana and changed his ways (this was not planned). He made the ultimate sacrifice, that was a sad moment.
5) Who is your favorite love interest?
Morrigan or Leliana.

It is the most touching moment when Morrigan says she loves you. And the angry kiss mod. MAKERS BREATH!

I find it sooo sad how Leliana is alone. She truly is, no one believes her when she talks of the Maker and she was betrayed by the one she loved. I struggle NOT to romance her… I just feel so bad for her <3
6) Is there a love interest you haven’t yet played? Why not?
I have had pleasure with Zevran but I have NEVER pursued the thing. Mainly because Alistair, Morrigan or Leliana are already romanced by the time he’s knocking about.
7) Who is your favorite non-LI companion?
Shale! She is da bomb! I love her attitude, how awesome she looks and her hate for birds! And how she calls my Wardens ‘it’
8) Out of the main four quests (Redcliffe, Orzammar, Circle of Magi, Dalish elves), which one is your favorite?
Hmmm…. Redcliffe. Because it gives me the sacred ashes quest and I love that quest. Also its funny how Morrigan disapproves to like EVERYTHING you do there. Oh god “Yes I will save your daughter” *minus 15 approval*
9) Name three of your favorite male non-companion characters.
Bann Teagan Guerrin, Cullen, King Cailan Theirin
10) Name three of your favorite female non-companion characters.
Flemeth, Ghayna, Lady of the forrest
11) What is your favorite class (warrior, rogue, mage) to play?
Rogue!! They are the best, hands down.
12) Is there a class you haven’t played? Why not?

No, I have played them ALL!!!!
13) What is your favorite class specialization? (Assassin? Champion? Spirit Healer? Et cetera …)
Ranger and Duelist combo *salivates* They are awesome!!
14) What is your favorite team of companions to take along with you? Do you keep the same three people all the time, or do you prefer different people for different quests?
Depends on the type of character I have.

If I’m good I’ll take Alistair, Leliana and Wynne with me. If I’m bad it’s Morrigan, Sten and Shale.
15) If you could create a team of three non-companion characters to take with you on a quest, who would you choose? (Anyone in the game is fair game!)
Bann Teagan, Marjolaine (that would be interesting) and Connor

What is wrong with me!? But there it is. I imagine Teagan is a warrior, Marjolaine a rogue and Connor a mage. BOOM!! Covers all.
16) What is your favorite side quest? (Something not related to any of the main quests.)
Return to Ostagar. I like to give Alistair his rightful armour and weapons. :3
17) Do you have any particular routines that you stick to when you play? (Doing the quests in a specific order? Always buying/selling your gear at a certain merchant? Collecting every elfroot you see? Completing every single one of the side quests before the Landsmeet? Anything like that?)
I do. I usually do the main quests in this order

  • The circle
  • Redcliffe
  • Dwarves
  • Elves
And after I complete the elves I finish sacred ashes. Mind you there is a few trips to Denerim and such in between. I complete ALL my companions quests as soon as they’re available.

18) What moment of the game is most personally satisfying to you - is there something cathartic, something that makes you cheer, something that just feels right no matter what?
Something that feels right? Well the ritual. I almost always perform the ritual just because if I was given the option to die or get Morrigan knocked up I would go with the knocking up option. It might sound like I just want to have my dirty way with the witch bitch (maybe I do) but its not really that, its just my personal preference.
19) What brings you back to play DA:O again? What about this particular game makes it fun for you to play multiple times? What do you get out of each subsequent play?
The enormity of it all. There is so many different ways it can go. So many possibilities and freedom.

It is perfect, there is never a dull moment, something is always around the corner. Whether it be a merchant selling Orlesian shoes, a pack of wolves or a sex crazed elven assassin.
20) If you were trying to convince someone else to play DA:O for the first time, what are the top three points you’d try to sell them on?

  1. The freedom. Even though you have a main objective there is always something you can wander off and do if you’re getting tired of just recruiting or whatever
  2. The loving ;) AKA Morrigan’s boobs, Alistair’s charm, Leliana’s voice and Zevran’s smooth moves
  3. The feeling of pride you get when you sink your blade into the archdemon’s head after hours of game play and growth of your Warden and his/her companions.

Dragon Age: Origins meme (#9-13)

kinlochhold:

Another installment of the DA Revisited meme. (#s 1 through 4 and 5 though 8.)

9) Name three of your favorite male non-companion characters.

Duncan, Bann Teagan, and Ser Perth (or Sgt. Kylon! I can’t decide… don’t make me decide…)

10) Name three of your favorite female non-companion characters.

Shianni, Lanaya, and Eleanor Cousland.

11) What is your favorite class (warrior, rogue, mage) to play?

No preference. I do play most often as a rogue, and enjoy both the versatility of the class and its nearly obscene power at higher levels. Plus, pets! But I am equally fond of the intellectual and tactical aspects of the mage class, and the physicality and flat-out sexiness of playing as a warrior.

12) Is there a class you haven’t played? Why not?

No. I had not played as a warrior until very recently, though. Being in the middle of the fray as a Tank!Girl while Alistair dual wields is so much fun I wish I’d tried it a long time ago.

13) What is your favorite class specialization? (Assassin? Champion? Spirit Healer? Et cetera …)

For a Mage, I like Spirit Healer. (Blood Mage is also interesting, though I’m still trying to get the hang of it.)
For a Rogue, Assassin + Ranger. Summon all the pets!
For a Warrior, Champion + Templar. Alternate War Cry and Holy Smite and the bad guys spend most of their time flying through the air and falling down. Have two Warriors specced that way in the party, and the game is almost too easy.
